Bacon returns to Hoffman Racing

LOVELAND, Ohio – Brady Bacon will reunite with Hoffman Auto Racing for the upcoming USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series campaign.

The team, which finished second in the standings with Kevin Thomas Jr. this year, last worked with Bacon during the 2016 season.

During his previous tenure with Hoffman Auto Racing from 2013 to ’16, Bacon won a pair of USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series titles.

“When we were unable to work things out for 2019 with Kevin Thomas Jr., we jumped on the chance to get Brady back in the Mean Green car,” said Hoffman Auto Racing President Richard Hoffman. “We want to thank KTJ for all he and Whitney (Thomas) did for us in 2018 and we wish them nothing but the best in the future.”

Bacon, who earned four USAC sprint car victories this year en route to a fifth-place championship finish in his own equipment, is looking forward to returning to the No. 69.

“I am extremely excited to be reunited with Hoffman Racing for 2019,” said Bacon. “We have always worked well together and I hope to replicate the success we had in our first run together. I look forward to helping add more to the already impressive legacy the Hoffman’s have established.”

In addition to the return of Bacon, Mean Green will also return as primary sponsor of the Hoffman Auto Racing No. 69 entry next year.

“Rust-Oleum purchased the Mean Green brand from CR Brands in 2018. We encourage all our race fans to continue to support the brands that support their sport,” said Tim Waechter, vice president of Marketing, PR and Social Media for Hoffman Auto Racing. “This includes Rust-Oleum products in addition to Mean Green. We are excited to showcase Rust-Oleum as well as our primary sponsor Mean Green.

“Lykins Energy Solutions, Hoosier Tires, XYZ machine, Fatheadz Eyewear, Triple X Race Cars, DMI and Tel-Star Technologies will be associate sponsors in 2019.”
